Job Overview:

Our technicians perform hands-on technical services for residential and light commercial pumps, controls, battery backup systems (uninterruptable power supplies), and pump-related plumbing. Work is performed indoors, outdoors, and in an office setting. Essential characteristics include good communication skills, creativity, customer service skills, computer skills, teamwork, attention to detail, and ability to work independently.

  • Mechanical and electrical experience and the ability to troubleshoot
  • An understanding of electromagnetism, Newtonian mechanics, hydraulics, and thermodynamics
  • Ability to use a cell phone and PC, including Microsoft office suite
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs. unassisted and 100 lbs. assisted.
  • Ability to read and interpret diagrams and schematics
  • Have pump, electrical, and air compressor field service experience (preferred).
  • Possess a High school diploma
  • Must participate in on call rotation
  • Must be able to pass background and reference checks, as well as a drug test
  • Must maintain an active driver’s license with a clean driving record

No experience in the trades?
We will accept a STEM degree (associates or bachelor’s) in lieu of relevant experience.

Scope of responsibility:

  • Pumps and controls - installation, repair, maintenance, and troubleshooting
  • Battery backup systems - installation, repair, maintenance, and troubleshooting
  • Prepare and maintain clear and accurate documentation for assigned work
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with customers, coworkers, and suppliers
  • Assist with inventory management and shop upgrades
  • Periodic transfer to our real estate division
  • Understand and adhere to all safety-related policies, rules, and guidelines
  • Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours service
  • Perform all other duties as assigned
